Fancy Yellow Lab-Grown Diamonds
Fancy yellow diamonds — canaries, in the trade — take their colour from nitrogen trapped in the crystal lattice. They are among the most available of the fancy colours, which makes them a common entry point into coloured diamonds.
Grading runs from Fancy Light through Fancy, Intense, Vivid, Deep and Dark; the jump in price between those steps is far steeper than the jump in appearance. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically and optically identical to mined stones, certified to the same standards and typically 60-80% less per carat.
