Old Miner Cut Diamonds
The old mine cut is the antique ancestor of the modern cushion: cut by hand and by candlelight, with a small table, a high crown and a large open culet that gives it a warm, slow, unmistakably vintage glow.
Old miners are graded by modern standards but were never cut to them, so judge them on character in person rather than on the certificate alone.
