At For Your Eternity, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard your information when you visit our website, make a purchase, or interact with us.
We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

2. The personal data we collect
We may collect and process the following types of personal data:
- Identity and contact data – your name, title, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number.
- Order and transaction data – details of the products you buy, your order history, and records of payments (your card details are handled directly by our payment providers — see section 6 — and we do not store full card numbers).
- Communications data – messages and enquiries you send us, including design consultations.
- Technical and usage data – your IP address, device and browser type, and how you use our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Marketing preferences – your choices about receiving marketing from us.
We do not knowingly collect special category (sensitive) personal data, and we do not collect data from children.
3. How we collect your data
We collect data directly from you (when you place an order, create an account, contact us or sign up for marketing), automatically as you use our website (through cookies), and from third parties such as our payment providers, who confirm that payment has been made.
4. How and why we use your data (lawful bases)
Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Process and fulfil your order, take payment, arrange delivery and provide customer support | Performance of our contract with you |
| Improve our website, products and service, prevent fraud, and keep our business records | Our legitimate interests |
| Send you marketing emails and show you relevant advertising | Your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) |
| Meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations | Compliance with a legal obligation |
5. Marketing
We will only send you marketing communications if you have opted in. We use Klaviyo to manage our email marketing. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or by contacting us at hello@foryoureternity.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect emails we send you about an order you have placed.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as necessary. These include:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shopify | The e-commerce platform that hosts our website and processes orders |
| Stripe | Secure card payment processing |
| PayPal | Secure payment processing |
| Google Analytics | Website analytics to help us understand and improve site performance |
| Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel | Measuring and delivering relevant advertising |
| Klaviyo | Email marketing and communications |
| Delivery and logistics partners | Delivering your order |
We may also share data with professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers), and with regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.
7. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. For full details of the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers (including Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Google, Meta and Klaviyo) are based outside the UK, so your data may be transferred and stored abroad. Where this happens, we ensure an appropriate level of protection by relying on UK "adequacy" regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
9. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes we collected it for:
- Order and transaction records are kept for at least 6 years to meet HMRC and other legal requirements.
- Marketing data is kept until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe.
- Enquiry and correspondence data is kept for as long as needed to deal with your query and a reasonable period afterwards.
When we no longer need your data, we securely delete or anonymise it.
10. How we protect your data
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. These include encryption of data in transit, secure payment processing, and limiting access to authorised personnel. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, so we encourage you to keep your account details safe.
11. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access – request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification – ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure – ask us to delete your data, where legally applicable.
- Restriction – ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability – ask for your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Object – object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent – withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@foryoureternity.com. We will respond within one month, as required by the UK GDPR.
