A cushion-cut centre stone ringed by a halo of small diamonds. The halo sits close to the centre, broadening the face of the ring without lifting it far off the finger. The shoulders carry small diamonds down to the band, so the pavé continues out from the halo rather than stopping at the head. It reads well on the hand — wider than a solitaire, but still close-set and measured.

At the centre is a cushion-cut diamond of 0.5ct. Each stone is held by small grains of metal raised from the band, which keeps the setting neat and the stones level.
