Old Miner Lab-grown Diamonds
The old mine cut is the antique ancestor of the modern cushion: cut by hand and by candlelight, with a small table, a high crown and a large open culet that gives it a warm, slow, unmistakably vintage glow.
Old miners are graded by modern standards but were never cut to them, so judge them on character in person rather than on the certificate alone. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically and optically identical to mined stones, certified to the same standards and typically 60-80% less per carat.
