Tanzanite Engagement Rings
Tanzanite is found in exactly one place on earth — a few square kilometres of the Merelani Hills in Tanzania — and is trichroic, showing blue, violet and burgundy from different angles. It was unknown to science before 1967.
At 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale it is softer than sapphire, so it suits a protective setting or a piece worn occasionally rather than daily. Every tanzanite ring here can be made in platinum, 18ct or 9ct gold, with diamond accents or without. If you are torn, compare our diamond engagement rings, or read how to choose an engagement ring in five steps. Ethically sourced, transparently priced, and backed by complimentary resizing for one year plus honest advice whenever you want it.
