Chrysoberyl Gemstones

Chrysoberyl is the third hardest natural gemstone after diamond and corundum, usually seen in golden to green-yellow tones, and it is the parent species of both alexandrite and cat's eye cymophane.

At 8.5 on the Mohs scale it is exceptionally durable and genuinely underused in bridal jewellery. We buy loose so you can choose the stone first and the setting second — see our diamond and gemstone guide for how colour, cut and clarity are judged outside the diamond scale, or which gemstones survive everyday wear if it is going to be worn daily. Every stone is independently certified, priced transparently, and can be set into any ring in our collection or into a design of your own.
