Rose Natural Diamonds

The rose cut has a flat base and a domed crown of triangular facets rising to a point, with no pavilion at all. It dates to the sixteenth century and gives a soft, glassy shimmer rather than sparkle — and it spreads very wide for its weight.

Because there is no pavilion, a rose cut is shallow and looks considerably larger than its carat weight suggests. These are natural stones, formed over billions of years and mined under traceable, conflict-free supply chains. Read what makes a diamond ethical before you choose. Compare it with every other outline in our diamond shapes guide, and get to grips with what actually drives price in our diamond 4Cs guide. All our stones carry independent laboratory certification and transparent pricing, and our London team will talk you through any of them with no obligation.
