Tourmaline Gemstones

Tourmaline occurs in a wider colour range than any other gemstone — pink, green, blue, and bicoloured watermelon crystals that shift along their length. Neon-blue Paraiba tourmaline is among the most expensive gems in the world.

At 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale it is a reasonable everyday stone in a protective setting. We buy loose so you can choose the stone first and the setting second — see our diamond and gemstone guide for how colour, cut and clarity are judged outside the diamond scale, or which gemstones survive everyday wear if it is going to be worn daily. Each stone is independently graded and openly priced, ready to set into one of our settings or a piece designed from scratch with you.
